As a guest of Pier One Sydney Harbour, TML stayed this week in a Walsh Bay Suite – a magnificent white on white space with electric blinds should the view of the western harbour and glorious Sydney sunsets prove too mesmerizing.
These suites are opulent but not ostentatious; the comfort meter is amped up to 11 with a luxurious king size bed and large bathroom with marble double vanity and ultra indulgent spa bath. Pier One Sydney Harbour (POSH) is currently mid-way in a seventeen-week beautification process to improve the lobby, bar and dining facilities. The hotel’s management led by new General Manager, Kim Mahaffy is doing a great job of minimising the impact on guests. The rooms and suites are still a serene escape from Sydney’s hustle and bustle.
The harbour-side property will also announce in the next few weeks the signing of a new Executive Chef to oversee new menus, the refurbished hotel’s restaurant and bar will offer. Watch this space.
Hotel reception has been relocated to the Bridge Room on level 2 – with guests entering the hotel via Lower Fort Street instead of Hickson Road.
