The 16th anniversary of the Good Food and Wine Show sees a stellar line-up of food personalities and of course, great food and wine. At the Brisbane Convention Centre for three days only there is everything for your next foodie escapade under one roof.
Staged annually in Melbourne, Sydney, Perth and Brisbane, the event is one of Australia’s largest exhibitions. 2016 sees TV favourites Miguel Maestre, Matt Moran, Alastair McLeod, Gary Mehigan, Silvia Colloca and Sammy and Bella on stage and in the kitchen.
Joining them in this celebration of all things food and wine are experts such as the Bruny Island Cheese Co founder Nick Haddow, Dan Murphy’s National Fine Wine Manager Peter Nixon and Nigel Wisebaum – Head of Sales and Marketing for everyone’s favourite Aussie Distiller Archie Rose.
But it’s not just a show for those who have home kitchens complete with precision cookers and Durand corkscrews. Even If you don’t know your MasterChefs from your MKR’s there are so many ways to learn and enjoy from food and wine matching to fermenting your own kimchi.
Passionate producers, winemakers and cheese makers and small batch distillers are all displaying their wares at the show. At Artisan Square you can chat with boutique producers the owners of family run companies, taste and take home.
Tasting, sampling and sipping are mandatory. Make sure you wear elasticised pants.
