It’s Back – Brisbane Good Food & Wine Show

From October 17-19 Brisbane hosts one of the biggest and best events on the Australian food calendar – The Good Food & Wine Show. Once more, the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre will see a flurry of forks, a spate of spatulas and many bottles of bubbles.

Some of the country’s finest chefs including the 3 Matt’s – Moran, Golinski and Stone will be joined by Australia’s favourite cook Maggie Beer to share some of their best kept culinary secrets whilst whipping up unbelievable 3 course meals at the Lifestyle Channel Food’s Chef ‘s Table. For all the MKR fans Miguel Maestre will show how to create the perfect paella and Sammy and Bella will inspire with their tips to make your time in the kitchen less but so much tastier. And what show would be complete without the man that strikes fear into the hearts of many a Masterchef contestant, Adriano Zumbo.

Barossa local and wine writer David Brookes is delving into what makes the Barossa Australia’s most loved wine region with interactive masterclasses. At the Riedel A+ Australian Wine Bar, sessions include the delightfully named Shirazamatazz, White Wine Smackdown and a Brioche Breakfast and Australia’s Brilliant Bubbles.

The Nip of Courage Grazing Garden will be the temporary home to Brisbane’s preferred food trucks including the Bun Mobile, Siguenos and the BBQ Joint. Wash down some inexpensive eats with a Nip of Courage cocktail prepared from great Aussie distilled spirits.

2014 sees the advent of Local Labels We Love – a chance to tell the world about your best-loved producer, food artisan or Sunshine State wine maker. Local Labels We Love will showcase Queensland’s very best at the Good Food & Wine Show and you can also win tickets to the show and a meet and greet with a celebrity chef.

Nominate via social media by posting a picture of a dish that uses your favourite label by October 10 giving the name of the label and using #lovelocalvote and @goodfoodandwineshow for Facebook and Twitter and the same hashtag and @goodfoodwine for Instagram.

For those who want to amp it up to 11, VIP Celebration Passes ensure a day of exclusive access (and maybe a little excess) with beverages and canapes, reserved seating and some sensational goodies to take home.
