It’s nearly here – Noosa Eat & Drink 2024

If you relish the good life or are simply food-curious, you’re probably already planning your Noosa Eat & Drink 2024. Australia’s favourite long weekend of eating and drinking returns from May 30th to June 2nd and the full program is now released.

Celebrating its 21st anniversary, Noosa Eat & Drink 2024 is bigger and more delicious than ever. It promises outstanding chefs and cooks, local flavours, and once-in-a-lifetime dining experiences.

Most importantly, Noosa Eat & Drink honours standout regional dining experiences and the people who shape them.

Beyond the beach, the village, and the restaurants, there are tours (think gin and craft beers), a Gibsons Noosa high tea, and, for the artistically inclined, Brunch and Brush at the Chroma Club.

Noosa is a long-established ‘food town’ with an exciting fine dining scene featuring talented chefs as well as spectacular produce from the surrounding Sunshine Coast.

Four days of grazing and sipping promise a seriously tasty mini-break. With more than 75 events, including a revamped Festival Village back in the Noosa Woods, restaurant events across the region, beach feasts, and even a launch event on a launch—the MV Catalina.

Renowned chef Matt Golinski has been involved in the festival since its inception in 2003, and this year will work with local suppliers to source the very best produce and supplies for guests and chefs.

“The festival brings so much excitement to Noosa! Our local restaurants are at the forefront of a culinary movement, working closely with producers from the region to bring the freshest seasonal produce to the table,” said Chef Golinski. “This collaboration not only sparks new concepts and ideas using the vibrant flavours Noosa has to offer but also champions sustainability with the reduction in food miles”.

The Festival Village: Where the Magic Happens

The Festival Village is the hub of the Noosa Eat & Drink 2024 weekend.  It’s where you’ll find pop-ups from Noosa’s best restaurants, stalls showcasing local producers, and an incredible selection of drinks to try. Plus, there’s Dal Zotto prosecco (in a complimentary Festival glass) on arrival to get your party started!

Head to the Dal Zotto Lounge to see some of Australia’s best-known chefs showcase Noosa’s extraordinary produce during demos on the Main stage. Olsson’s Salty Sessions are intimate masterclasses with some of the best. The world-class line-up includes Anna Polyviou, Adriano Zumbo, Warren Mendes, Sarah Todd, Khanh Ong, and local heroes Matt Golinski and Cameron Matthews, who will take centre stage with demonstrations daily from 11 a.m. And each afternoon at 3 pm friendships might be tested at the Celebrity Cooking Competition, with each chef putting their skills to the test.

Explore pop-ups from Noosa’s top restaurants, stock up on artisan delights from across the region at the Producers Pavilion, and taste refreshing drops from the finest craft brewers, distillers and winemakers. From 4 pm, DJs and bands will ensure the party goes well into the evening.

The Chandon VIP Lounge ups the ante for fine food and wine connoisseurs. Ticket holders will enjoy front-row seats to celebrity chef cooking demos, a Chandon cocktail on arrival, and catering by local legend Chef Ryan Fitzpatrick from Noosaville’s new favourite local—Lanai Noosa.

Beyond the Village

The festival fun extends across Noosa, with restaurants from the hinterland to the coast serving up their best, showcasing their talents and highlighting the incredible local produce. From exclusive pop-ups to one-of-a-kind dinners, this is your chance to learn more about the Sunshine Coast’s shining culinary star – Noosa.

Chef Andy Wilcox is hosting Park and Cove’s Sunny Coast Dinner. The Friday, May 31st dinner focuses on sensational native produce. The three-course dinner has been created by experts in native Australian cuisine — chefs Dale Vocale, Matt Golinski, and of course, Andrew Wilcox.

Beach Vibes and Good Times

Winter never comes to Noosa — it’s more of an endless summer kind of place. In 2024 the Beach Garden will officially open on Saturday, June 1.

While the daily Sundowner Cocktail Parties are almost sold out, tickets for three Sunday Beach Garden sessions are now available. It’s cocktails and grazing platters and your choice of seating – beach mats, low tables, lounge space or high tables.

Going out on a high note, the Festival Sundowner will see Noosa Eat & Drink 2024 out in style on Sunday evening. It’s VIVIR Tequila and famous brews like Pacific Ale or Green Coast Lager by Stone & Wood with canoes by Lanai Noosa.

The Inside Scoop

TML was treated to the inside scoop on this year’s festival at the exclusive launch. Beginning at Noosaville’s Lanai, we sipped Limoncello spritzes and ate Chef Ryan Fitzpatrick’s delectable prawn sangas. (One is never enough!)
