Recent research has shown Australians aren’t spending their weekends enjoying themselves but doing housework or answering work emails instead.
New research from TFE Hotels, shows that nearly a third of Aussie women (30%) feel guilty when they don’t tend to household chores during the weekend. 91 per cent of Australians say they look forward to the weekend – but only 8 per cent describe weekends as exciting.
The TFE Hotels survey of 1100 Australians found that three quarters of Aussies would rather spend their weekends going on a beach break (26 per cent), indulgent luxury weekend getaway (20 per cent) or a food and wine trip (16 per cent).
Because of this, TFE Hotels is partnering with Velocity Frequent Flyer to give away 52 weekends, including Virgin Australia flights and TFE Hotels accommodation, as well as an Ultimate Weekend Away for one person and 11 friends, valued at $15,000.
