McLaren will launch the P1 at the 83rd Geneva International Motor Show next Tuesday with much fanfare.
With a starting price of £866,000 the P1 will do zero to 100km/h in less than 3 seconds; 0 to 200km/h in less than 7 and if you feeling a little like Lewis Hamilton or Jensen Button, 0 to 300km/h in a phenomenal 17 seconds! That’s 5 seconds faster that the McLaren F1 road car.
The P1 features a mid mounted 3.8 liter twin turbo V8 petrol engine and for the quieter moments can also be driven solely in electric mode.
With the advent of the P1 and after fifty years of F1 racing and twenty years of producing unique sports cars, McLaren is still living up to their ethos of ‘designed for the track, developed for the road’.
