Costieres de Nimes is the most southerly appellation of the Rhone wine region in southeast France. One of the world’s oldest wine growing regions grapes have been grown and wine made in the Rhone for two millennia. The area was settled by Roman soldiers and the region was one of the main suppliers of wine to the Popes of the time.
Château de Fabrègues Costières-de-Nîmes is where the Rhone, Gard and Durance rivers meet (aka the Rhone Delta) before tumbling towards the Mediterranean. The terroir is hilly and the pebbly soil retains the heat of the day. This Rosé is a traditional southern French blend of Grenache and Syrah and is a luscious pink inside an eye-catching bottle.
