the luxury hotel for everyone else

The Luxury Hotel for Everyone ElseIn the late 1960’s, Isadore Sharp* then sole owner of Four Seasons Hotels, made a life-changing observation after staying at some of London’s elite hotels like Claridge’s, and the Connaught. You were treated like royalty – if they knew you. That was the moment when the Four Seasons became the luxury hotel for everyone else.

Today, Four Seasons hotels around the globe have larger staffs than their competition. The spare-nothing service has insured their place on all top awards lists from Forbes to CN Traveller. Their uncompromising dedication to service is what separates them from the other prestige hospitality chains.

The Sydney Four Seasons is unequalled in the Harbour City for service. The uptown address is the crème de la crème of Sydney real estate. Staying in a Grand Premier Full Harbour View Room gets you some of the best views of the Harbour, Opera House and that famous bridge.

Of course, there are top-notch L’Occitane amenities, fluffy bathrobes, and a bed you may never want to leave. (Even Oprah once said,  “a Four Seasons bed is the only bed better than my own”). But what separates the Four Seasons from all the others is undoubtedly the staff and their commitment to offering guests only the very best. Need your suit pressed in 30 minutes? They’ll do it perfectly in 12.

The Luxury Hotel for Everyone ElseIf staying one night or ten you most definitely should stay on one of the Executive Club floors. As well as the ultra luxurious rooms, there is complimentary Internet access and one of the best hotel breakfast buffets, TML has enjoyed across the globe. The Bircher muesli with seasonal fruits, and eggs and espresso prepared fresh to order all are served with a smile.

The fitness centre offers every type of torture (sorry exercise) machine imaginable. The triangular shaped pool is Sydney’s largest outdoor heated hotel pool and in warmer months Cabana is great for long poolside cocktails. AEON Spa’s couples treatment room features a double whirlpool with expert therapists finding the perfect solutions to all your beauty and muscular related issues.

The recent addition of The Woods brought a whole lot of hip to hotel dining. Chef Hamish Ingham dishes up ‘primitive luxury’ – a no fuss menu with dishes cooked over a variety of wood. The new stand alone bar GRAIN, serves bespoke local beers, biodynamic wines and cocktails quite literally with a twist. The Luxury Hotel for Everyone ElseThe Four Seasons gives you an all-new reason to visit Sydney. Not just for the knock-out views and perfect location, but for a level of service second to none.

*Nowadays Isadore Sharp owns 5% of the worldwide brand (with Bill Gates and Prince Al-Waleed bin Talal owning 47.5% each). But even before Mr Gates (and his famous foundation) became part owners, the Four Seasons was well known for it’s exceptional philanthropic efforts. More than 30 years ago Isadore Sharp not only personally supported Terry Fox and his Marathon of Hope across Canada, he wrote to another 999 Canadian corporations urging them to also support the brave amputee. Since then the Four Seasons has supported a range of medical, environmental and educational initiatives.
