Hilton Brisbane’s Winter Sin #4 – Pride

Watch Sin #4 video below – and enter the ‘Six Sins of Winter’ competition here.

According to the Oxford dictionaries Pride “is a feeling of deep pleasure or satisfaction derived from one’s own achievements, the achievements of one’s close associates, or from qualities or possessions that are widely admired”.

No matter what anyone says the selfie is not dead. Look at your Facebook or Instagram and see the continual parade of sometimes spontaneous or sometimes very staged self-portraits. What they do is mirror life right now at this moment. They also document history – giving us a pretty accurate snapshot of what humans were doing in 2015.

Is the selfie less about narcissism, but more about pride in yourself? Is it merely a demonstration of self-confidence? Our model Tara Hoyos-Martinez is extremely proud of her shopping efforts in our latest Hilton Brisbane Six Sins of Winter video – Sin #4 – Pride.
